"Miyazawa Plays Caliendo" is a joint collaboration between Miyazawa and Caliendo World Music Publishing
The "Miyazawa Plays Caliendo" CD highlights the synergy between composer, artist, and manufacturer and features Miyazawa Artists Laurel Ann Maurer, Jill Felber and Clare Southworth playing Caliendo's Flute Sonata's No. 1, 2, & 3.
"The re-creation of reality through the invention of music necessitates having the virtuoso performer who requires a perfectly-constructed, mechanically-sound instrument. Creating these three new additions to the Flute Sonata repertoire has been a two year journey. In production of these recordings, it has been a pleasure and honor to work with Miyazawa, a leading manufacturer of flute instruments, and three of their very special artists. My conceptual goal has been to bring you the greatest recordings, performed under the highest state-of-the-art conditions by today's virtuosi on some of the best-made flutes. It has been and continues to be a joyful memory, now recorded for all time." -Christopher Caliendo

"I am very impressed with Miyazawa flutes. I've had several students purchase Miyazawas, and I am thrilled to find such quality instruments at reasonable prices. I especially enjoy the responsiveness and full sound. The mechanism is smooth - this is a comfortable, beautifully crafted instrument and a joy to play. I am pleased to see that the 202 and higher have Straubinger pads - what a plus! Furthermore, I am impressed by the people at Miyazawa; they are friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive!"
- Dr. Shelley Collins Professor of Flute, Delta State University
